Two Longtime ESPN Announcers Are Out After 20-Plus Years
Two longtime ESPN announcers are officially out at the company after more than 20 years. The Worldwide Leader in Sports announced on Tuesday its coverage teams for the upcoming Australian Open. Two longtime ESPN tennis announcers, Pam Shriver and Brad Gilbert, were not included in the announcement. They appear to be done at the company after more than 20 years. Both Shriver and Gilbert confirmed their exits from ESPN on social media. Pam Shriver wrote on X : "Thanks for the 35+ amazing years. I recall AO 1990, after an early round loss, working for ESPN for the first time. I was prepared for more, but was told it was time to streamline. Meanwhile my thoughts are with Eaton & Palisades Fire victims on a tough 1 year anniversary." Gilbert added: "Had a great 👍 23 year run 🏃♀️."
