Why Felix Auger-Aliassime may be disappointed with his 2026 season so far, despite a title win

The number-one seed was well below his best against the former US Open champion, who put together an impressive performance. Felix seemed to struggle physically at times, especially after a few of the longer exchanges. It’s not the first time recently he’s come up short against a top player. He had a similar result in Rotterdam, where he fell to Alex de Minaur. With back-to-back losses behind him, there are some real questions about whether he’s ready for an extended run.
