Coco Gauff is back in business at the Australian Open, where she has powered into the second round.

Gauff is the third seed at the Australian Open, with the American beating Kamilla Rakhimova in her opening match.

The world number three triumphed 6-2, 6-3 at Rod Laver Arena, and now meets Olga Danilovic in the second round.

Danilovic has already pulled off a major upset, knocking out seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams in round one.

Coco Gauff can’t stop laughing during Chris Eubanks interview

Gauff will be firmly focused on avoiding a similar fate in Melbourne, where she has also been demonstrating her playful side.

When taking on an interview question from former player Chris Eubanks, the WTA superstar couldn’t keep a straight face.

Trying to get the situation back on track, Eubanks said: “Don’t do this again, don’t do this again, you’ve done this before,” with Gauff replying: “I’m sorry, I can’t help it.”

Eubanks, who did ultimately manage to get his question across, shared the exchange on his Instagram afterwards.

There, he joked: “Don’t you hate when your friends come to your job and don’t know how to act,” with Gauff commenting: “I need to get used to this somehow.”

Coco Gauff among American WTA stars into Australian Open second round

While Gauff is under immense pressure to perform at the Australian Open, it’s great to see she can also find time to relax.

There are plenty of expectations on the young shoulders of the 21-year-old, who already has two Grand Slam titles to her name.

Thankfully she has other Americans to help carry the burden, with her high-profile counterparts all enjoying strong starts in Melbourne.

Joining Gauff in the WTA top 10 rankings, Americans Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula and defending champion Madison Keys all won their first round matches.

As mentioned, there was no such luck for tennis legend Williams, while former world number eight Emma Navarro also suffered an early exit.
